"How to apply Emla Numbing Cream:
1. Wash and completely dry the area where the procedure will be done.
2. Squeeze out a sufficient amount of Emla numbing cream onto the target area. For needle procedures in adults this is about 2g. Don't rub it in – leave it as a thick layer.
3. Use the provided occlusive dressing or create your own with plastic wrap and tape. Make sure the cream is completely covered and the edges are sealed to prevent leakage.
4. Write down the application time on the dressing. Emla cream must be applied at least 60 minutes before the start of the procedure.

General Information
Emla Skin Numbing Cream is a topical anaesthetic cream that can be applied directly to your skin to temporarily numb the area before needle insertion, tattooing and minor superficial cosmetic procedures. Emla Numbing Cream contains two ingredients, lidocaine and prilocaine, which work together to block pain signals from reaching your nerves.
