Active Ingredient (per tablet) Aspirin 100 mg | Aspirin 100 mg

1 tablet at the same time every day. Cartia is not recommended for use in children under 18 years of age. Consult a doctor before giving this medication to children or teenagers with chickenpox, influenza or fever. Keep the medication in the pack until it is time to use it. Store below 25°C. Do not leave it in the car on a hot day. Do not store medicine in the bathroom or near a sink. Heat and dampness can destroy some medicines. Store all medicines out of the reach of children. If you stop taking CARTIA, ask the pharmacist what to do with any doses left over. Take CARTIA with a glass of water. CARTIA should be swallowed whole, without crushing, chewing or breaking the tablet. Take CARTIA at the same time each day. This will help you remember to take your medicine. CARTIA is not recommended for use in children under 18 years of age.

Do not use during the first 6 months of pregnancy, except on doctor’s advice; at all during the last 3 months of pregnancy; if you have a stomach ulcer; if you are allergic to aspirin or other anti-inflammatory medicines. Unless advised by your doctor or pharmacist, do not use; with other products containing aspirin or anti-inflammatory medicines or with medicines that you are taking regularly. CARTIA helps prevent blood clotting and reduces the risk of heart attack and stroke in patients with known cardiovascular or cerebrovascular disease. For use under medical supervision only. The use of low dose aspirin may be only one component of your medical practitioner’s management plan to prevent you having a further heart attack or stroke.
